Christmas Donations

ihAg has received an exceptional number of donations again this year, to support local people who are affected by homelessness. Here's what our Chief Executive Officer, Jools Ramsey, had to say " I am so incredibly grateful and humbled by the response of the public to our request for support over the past few weeks. I know the cost-of-living crisis is effecting everyone, but the level of generousity and kindness I have seen has been phenomal. Every item we have received will be given to people affected by homelessness over the coming weeks, and we'll be able to share the food during our winter warm hub sessions with people who are sleeping on the streets. Thank you to everyone who has given. Each donation is a symbol of hope, of kindness and shows that people care."

The Chapman Centre in Ipswich home to the outreach workers for ihag homeless charity

The Covid-19 Pandemic has meant our services have been offered very differently over the past 17 months, and feedback from the people we have supported is that they prefer it!

Over the coming weeks, our Housing and Money Advice teams will be moving across to the Chapman Centre, and will be available by phone and  prearranged appointments.

The Chapman Centre staff will continue to offer the Advice hub service via phone and appointments as well.

When we've finalised all the details we'll release another update, and details of when you can expect to see which team. In the meantime, continue to use the current phone numbers to reach us.

As offices and shops reopen this week, we’re asking all Ipswich employees to take the time to notice anyone who is sleeping in doorways, stairwells or anywhere secluded.
