Please look out for evidence of people sleeping on the streets

As offices and shops reopen this week, we’re asking all Ipswich employees to take the time to notice anyone who is sleeping in doorways, stairwells or anywhere secluded. You may only notice bags of what look like rubbish but look closer and you may see they are bags of clothes, a rolled up sleeping bag or a lifetime’s worth of possessions.

If you do find any evidence, please either contact Streetlink on:

Website: www.streetlink.org.uk

Mobile app: ‘StreetLink’ from Apple iTunes / Google Play store

Phone: 0300 500 0914

Or contact the Ipswich Chapman Centre on 01473 232426.

Please think carefully before giving money directly to someone in need. Charities like ihAg could take your kind donation and add it to all the others we receive to help this person find a more permanent place to call home.

If your organisation would like to help, why not request a supporter pack and we’ll send you information plus a donation box for your place of work. Donating the cost of a cup of tea each week soon adds up and we can use it to make sure less people end up without a place to call home.

Simply email ihag@ihag.co.uk requesting a supporter pack and providing your contact details and we’ll pop one in the post.
